Hi Dave,
I thought I might have been a bit harsh in my comment on your photo earlier. This isn't really a bad photograph, but it just doesn't capture the imagination. I took the liberty of playing with this photo a bit on my own.. boosting the contrast definitely helps spruce up the image, but I couldn't find a crop that really brought out your title.
Perhaps shooting at a different time of day or with some dramatic clouds in the background would have helped?

Washed out colours and uninspired composition. Cutting off the top of the tower, centering your subject, and leaving the trees in on the right side all hurt this image. |

I should have known better than to think I would be the only one with that book title. Looks like great minds think alike. Nice photo, yours turned out much better than mine. |

Nice shot. However, not including the top of the bellfry compromises the composure. |

the building is a bit cock eyed - snapping while the bell was in motion may have captured the title better.- 5

i can barely see the bell in this shot. you'd have to get a lot closer for this to have any affect at all. |
