 This is the first blur experiment, where I used the lens blur filter to leave a thin slice sharp to emphasize the guy on the right who's looking at me.

I'd really appreciate hearing what you think of the variations:

#1 (original, with everything sharp):


#3 (lens blur with a closer section sharp):


#4 (smart blur to create a painting feel):

I like the amount of blur, but the one person in focus is too hard to find. If I didn't know one person was in focus I might not look long enough to find him.

I think if the guy in the middle were sharp (focus-wise, that is), it would work better. I havent' looked at all the pics yet, though.

This one doesn't work as well as the other two for me, just perhaps a little to blurry.
