 I tried to do something different yet conventional. I choose sepia as I like the feel it gives the picture and adds warmth. I wanted the focus of the shot to be on the roots of the tree as without these there would be no tree!

After challenge - ok so not a great start but you have to start somewhere. Lets hope I do better next time!! Thanks for all the votes and comments

Hi Kim. Congratulations on your first DPC submission. Better to start at 5.0 an dgo up then to start at 5.8 and go down (like me). I'm trying to try your title to what is presented in the image, but the two don't seem to go - the tree seems verical and the roots seem well bedded. I would expect slightly more red or yellow for a sepia hue.

I think that this could have been a little sharper and i am no too sure about the sepia tone. Looks like a giant fig tree ?
