Oak leaf gall: A developing insect parasite causes the oak leaf to form scar tissue around the source of irritation. In this case the parasite is a spider, as you can see from the web strand leading to the gall. The strand was hard to see and I had to catch it just right in the rays of the sun. I took the shot from about 40 feet away.

This has great DOF and bokeh, but not tons of interest. It's amost too busy for my taste.

It appears that the fruit is inhabited (eew). I might have cropped it differently so the fruit wasn't dead center (pun intended).
