I really like this shot, the dark tree, the lights in the background. It all works. The only thing is it seems a bit slanted to the left. Other than that, its a beautiful shot. Nice work. |

I realize you can't fix a horizon in minimal, but it is so skewed it's unfortunately distracting. Otherwise, very cool idea with the single palm tree in front of the opera house. |

Nice one here and I love it.....
Great spot to shoot from, and I love this composition very much.
The title suits this image very well.
You have done really well with this one. |

Picture needs to be horizontally leveled. |

Quite crooked. I presume this was on a tripod? I believe you can get a spirit level for your hotshoe for relatively little money and it will help keep things straight. Even without it you have a pretty clear horizon line here to act as visual guide to level things out.
That aside I like the fresh look on a much photographed subject. |

Superb view of the Sydney Opera House at dusk! Quite unique in effect & feel. Sadly, IMHO the palm tree silhouette (while qualifying this photo for the tree competition) actually distracts from an exquisite location photo. Improvements? If you had stepped left or right about 5-10 feet to physically crop out the palm tree and level the fencing at the water's edge (by sight) it would be a 10 in another contest, like the February, 2007 Free Study, but don't try it now...Boarder-Line DQ! :( |

Lovely..too bad the horizon is a bit tilted... I think I would have liked it better straight. Still very pretty nonetheless. |

Too bad this is rotated to the left the way it is. A vertical crop (eliminating some dead space on the left and right), and leveled out a bit, and this could have been a ribbon contender! |

In one word, WOW! Only downside is the tilt. 8 |

I like the light and the sky, but I feel you have let yourself down with a bad horizon and the cropping of the top of the tree... |
