Greetings from the Critique Club!
There are lots of good things to say about this image. I like your lighting - the shadows resulting from a single light-source are very pleasing. The shadow of your hand is making an accusatory gesture to the garlic. The composition is well thought-out. The color Red is a great contrast against the gum.
A couple of very minor issues: As you know, your garlic is just a tad bright - not enough to hurt your image, though. The major problem I had was not being able to tell what that thing was resting on your finger until I read your comments. At first, I thought maybe it was a vitamin supplement for garlic, and this was a poster advertising the health benefits of garlic pills, free from the smelly breath. Anyway, all around good shot!

| Wonderful image. Very clear with good composition. There is just a hint of propaganda here and if I stretch my mind far enough I can see it. So I vote a 10. |

| I would bet that you took a lot of images to get your lighting right so as to not be too hot on the garlic. You did very well for using a single light source. The gradient in the background is pleasing to the image. 7 -danny |

| Well done! So crisp and clear... Good DOF too... I think the comment is more as a homework to me than as a helpful hint to you as I am sure you know better what you did right here. Publicitar propaganda is propaganda too so... 10. I haven't seen all the photos yet but this one might be the blue ribbon. Or at least one of the ribbons. Good luck! 10 from me. |
