This was one of my favorite images, and I'm shocked that it didn't score/place better. I think it's a fabulous portrait. EstimatedEyes said it all for me below. For me, this really stood out in the competition!

Nicely posed candid. It is a nice insight. 8.

Almost surreal - I like the snapshot look.

I love this picture. There's something very Norman Rockwell, yet very odd about it. Reminds me of something Annie Liebovitz would do. The expressions, their posture, the couch, the picture, the loosened tie ... it all comes together beautifully. I wish the lamp on the left was moved all the way out of the frame, and the picture frame wasn't cut off at the very top, but I'm giving you a 10 anyway.

Cute family portrait! It looks like Daddy just got home from work and got a warm welcome from the girls. Reminds me of a Norman Rockwell painting.

B&W looks like a good choice for this with various fabrics in view, and focus is great. The thing that really grabs my attention here, though, is the painting on the wall. I'd take it down for a portrait session. Also, a straight-on perspective isn't usually flattering to the subjects, IMO. The one who looks the most interesting is the littlest girl whose shoulder is slightly angled to the camera.

I like this in B/W but not 100% liking the crop with the 1/2 lamp on the left side. IMHO a tighter crop would work better.

My eyes keep getting pulled to the picture on the wall

There is something staged yet really relaxed about this photo, the lighting is great except for the shaddow of the dad's head on the wall, its a bit harsh, otherwise, great composition and cool portrait
