 Glass sheet. Dissolved "Alum" and salt in warm water, allowed to dry to crystals on the glass, which was propped up between a pile of books for the shoot.

Taken in our hottest month here in Cape Town - it was 33 degrees C. Loads of fun. My children were a bit frightened of me all afternoon!! Natural light from window: my favourite settings: F5.5 on 100 ISO - it was sunny out there!! This was the VERY last shot taken, and everything had started to meltdown: the tiny "diamond" bindhi's on the forehead had even started to slip - didn't notice that until I was post processing:-( and makeup was starting to smudge.

Post Challenge: Very happy with the results. Didn't expect to do this well. AND the biggest compliment was that I got mistaken for Svetlana!!! LOL.

and it's a huge compliment for me, too:) very cool image, your expression is excellent! really, and I also love it because it's not a stereotypic ice queen, it' ice but some weird emotions, too.
