Protest songs of the 1960's were one of the most powerful forms of positive propaganda. The title of this shot is a quote from one of the most popular protest singers, Bob Dylan. Dylan started out playing in New York coffee houses in the early sixties. He would perform solo with just his guitar and harmonica.

I don't really understand how it relates to the title, but I like the photo. A simple, effective composition with nice dramatic lighting. But it is ruined by low quality compression. You should use the highest quality setting in your camera, and the highest quality that keeps the file size under 150K for the final submitted image.

I understand better now, thanks for your reply to my comments. although I was certainly around then, I just didn't remember the song and didn't relate the title. Thanks for the explanation. It is still a real nice shot, even better when I understand!

Looks a little oversharpened

the quality of this image is kind of poor. it looks like it was resized awkwardly.

These have to be the words of a great poet ....the photograph set up indicates who.I think that`s cool.

Nice idea, like the guitar! It's a really shame about the pixellated edges, was it oversharpened? (don't worry - the amount of times I've done that...!)

The sound of silence too...

I'm afraid I don't understand the correlation between the photo and the title, not in deep thinking mood I guess. The photo is ok, but it looks a little bit oversharpened.

Just what does this underexposed, ill-framed shot of a guitar have to do with money swearing? What is meant by "propoganda all is phony"? This would be better suited as a tribute to Jerry Garcia or something like that.

Very nice image, not sure how it fits in here. 6, for the pleasant shot. -danny
