What the hell is this, you ask? Rather simple actually... It froze overnight here in Vancouver, and I woke up to a bright sunny day, so I ran down to the beach in search of puddles. After trying a bunch of different shots of the ice and getting nowhere fast, I decided to break some of the ice off and make my own composition.
As I was holding the ice up to the sky, my polarizer started picking up some wicked colour in the ice; turns out, the pond it came from was a little toxic! :-P
PP done here was levels, a little selective colour to make the blues and magentas a touch darker, aaaannnd, rotate, crop, save for web. I expect this will require validation...
I have no idea how this will do. All I know is that its different! I do think it will get very mixed reviews, alot of raves and alot of WTF??

As I expected, this one sure bounced around alot. On the first night it went from a 6.3xx to a 5.7xx before climbing back to a 6.5xx and finishing where it did. Pretty happy with this, another strong finish. Thanks guys!
Only one comment that couldn't figure it out, too. I think the bubble helped alot there... |

| This is a very interesting shot. The colors are amazing, but I'm stuck not knowing where to look in this composition. It's not a bad composition, I just don't think it's very well organized. I don't know... I still love it though! |
