Post Challenge: 20th place is okay. Just to clarify the faith thing: we use faith all the time without really being conscious of it. If we didn't think our local GP's could fix us up with a tablet or two, antibiotics etc then we wouldn't even pay them a visit. The same with Alternative Medicine - we resort to herbs, prayer, potions, pills, a mixture of them all - whatever we think/believe has the power to heal us.

This is kind of a family portrait: the hands of me, Best Beloved's, Finn and Lily. Finn was the most unco-operative: while he begged to be the "Yogi Man", he couldn't keep still.

I like how the candle ties them all together. Very interesting.

Not really doing it for me but you have obviously done your homework on this and i think it deserves a pretty good score for that alone.

The little bit of cloth texture showing bothers me a bot, but I like the idea so much and find it so original compared to the rest of the entries that I'm bumping thus up anyway.

I like your idea, but for some reason it just doesn't hold all together for me.I think the palm open hands really distracts because it takes up half of the image space and the other three sets of hands takes the other half. the image here is just lacking something to hold it all together. I do enjoy the concept, but just doesn't work fully for me.

Very nicely crafted composition easily 'worth 1000 words', I like its message of diversity and unity at the same time.

I like the cultural unity and the form of each hand. It is very moving and creative. Even though it is simplistic it creates a deep feeling.

WOW...very cool concept & execution for the challenge. While I am no expert, I believe all is technically sound. The range of ages among the hands is a particularly attentive touch. 11 oh sorry not an option :( 10

I like how the backround sets off the hands. Very creative. The candle also draws attention, but not to much. Good Job! 8
