This is a mural in the lobby of the Natural History Museum in Mainz which depicts the movement of time, I think - it's quite lovely! It's about three stories high. Note that there are numbers around the "face" and a only a single hand. Taken with the 10-22 lens. Post includes reducing exposure and increasing saturation in RAW; crop, slight curves, sharpen on a separate layer so I could erase the effects on the support structures along the windows (they get jaggies). A bit more saturation with soft light blending mode then reduced opacity, and some dodge and burn to bring out some of the colors a bit more. Converted to the proper web profile, resized, added border, saved for web. Did one more slight sharpening after resizing, again "erasing" the effect on the supports.
Hope you enjoy it - next time I'm there (when not stopping by to shoot for a challenge!) I'll see if I can get more information on the wall itself.
And for the record, Europe doesn't change time for another couple of weeks.
To answer gg3rd's question, I believe those are lights on the side. |

This is SO cool! I'm disappointed it didn't finish in the mid-6's tho! :(
What an impressive composition! It's PERFECT!

I love the symmetry and the geometric pattern created by the perspective. Actually I really like everything about this shot. I gave it an 8 and wish I had gone higher. The more I look at it the more I like it. |

Like the perspective and the uniquenes of the subject. Are those speakers on both sides of the clock? |

Very neat perspective. I really like the angle from which the shot was taken. The whole image has such a cool abstract look. |

Huh; that's certainly different. How do the hands go around the corner? Nice find. |

I love the whole aspect of this photo! From the intrinsic simpleness of the shot, to the total balance, the clarity, and most of all the beauty!
Well done! |
