Wonderful clarity on the head, and DoF is perfect.
Maybe as it was advanced editing I would have toned down the branch coming out of his backside :- )
Really nice colours. |

ok so who cares about the challenge..great shot, and love the DOF...as for the stick..I like it...works as a leading line, brings me back to the little guy...and perfectly clean backgrounds aren't needed ALL the time...
well done on this shot... |

:) yes, I liked the idea a lot! his color is perfect, and I like the dof too. but the most exciting thing for me here is his expression: just look at the way he is holding his head!! :) extremely cute. why do they always have the cutest expressions? :) |

I see you made it to the zoo. Good for you! This is an excellent shot, and I personally love the DOF. The glass really is hard to shot through and I often run into the same type of problems (can't back up because of glare and then they are too close). I didn't enter or vote this challenge, but I would have given you a 10. You seem to have gotten quite a bit of his personality into the shot! |

Perfect color and texture! He's (or she?) giving you quite the look there! |

Now this is ??? could not you find a good looking guy/girl, sorry I did not vote on animals in this challenge, yet you finished in the top 50%, great work... |

Melethia,I voted 4 on this, not because of DNMC but because the shallow DOF bothers me. I wanted to see the whole iguana clearly. I love the color, texture, and patterns of their skin, and I don't think it does justice to the subject to obscure most of him. That being said, I like the pose you captured, and the light, color, and focus on his face is very nice. I got a laugh from the title too. |

And it is a very cool photo!!! The texture is AMAZING! I always love these kinds of photos where the shallow depth of field makes them look like their heads are coming off the page at you! Excellent work, Deb! And underrated -- and I'm sure that is only because people voted animals down :( dumb voters!

The detail and the bokeh is very nice. I don't think the stick behind him is distracting as it seems to be out of focus enough. |

I voted this quite high, as it is a very good animal portrait, with a very catchy title, that really suits this image.....
Deserved to get just a little higher score than this IMO..... |

I voted more or less the same for the animal shots, and this is one of the best I've seen - probably would've given it a 7 or 8. Well done! :) |

OUTSTANDING! Gutsy and well done! A good portrait on its own merits, and an extra point from me to help compensate for any whiny DNMC Policw! 8 |
