I've tried to get this shot on several occasions, as these guys are usually hanging out in the same spot in Audubon Swamp. It's a tricky one to meter, as there are often bright areas on alligator's back that could easily be blown out. This is underexposed by one stop, but may need some brightening in post.

Fantastic shot. I think the magic is in the capture (no kidding) but also in the shadow that echoes it too. Beautiful. I think this would really pop with some PP too.

Cool shot! This is a scene worth waiting for. They do this sort of thing when the water is cool and the sun is shining and warming a place for them to sunbathe. I have seen turtles do this in groups, and gators, but not exactly like this, all in a group.

Great photo here and if you was more lucky to had more reflection from the alligator in the water, will was superb.
p.s i think needs a litle more sharpness...

What a great shot! So slimy. Nice job on the exposure and focus. The only suggestion I have is to crop out some of the green at the top. It seems to go on forever.

This is wild! And cool at the same time. Interesting capture. I've never seen anything like this before. "Hey, lets all go hang out at the board"

I love how you captured the big gator with the turtles following along. This is a real nice photo as is- The colors are pretty nice right as they are, and being able to bring out a little more pop in PP will make this a great photo.

Great reflection, and very unusual shot! I didn't know turtles and alligators were such good pals! ;) I wold almost like to see this as a panoramic shot.

far out shot ... and wot an unusual sight ... in the first second or so of viewing i thought it was two aligators and then i realised it was turtles as well ... (didnt read title obviously!!) .. love the reflection of the aligator under him and the sort of ripples in the water .... excellent photograph and it should come up really well with processing ...

Heh! I guess the turtles have learned the gator won't munch on 'em, and the gator has learned turtles are a pain to try to eat. Very cool - and good choice of exposure, I think.

This would do well in a minimal editing challenge! You got the light just right! I love the turtles hanging out everywhere.
