Sorry, one more pelican shot :-) This one I underexposed by one stop to keep the whites from blowing. It may need a slight cooling filter.

Love the composition in this! Please don't apologize for pelicans. I have never seen one in real life, we don't have them in Newfoundland. I would love to see one!

Awwwww... he's so cute! That looks like a brown pelican. Very hard to find! :) He looks great sitting on the ship too. Nice capture!

I feel that you adjusted exposure just about right for this with all the white in it. Good DOF too, but you don't say what aperture was used. I like your pelicans. They are a water front icon, so they get into a lot of photos.

an amazing shot that's perfect just the way it is .. of course that's before i see how you edit it ... perfect will just become more perfect ... i personally dont think the underexposure is a problem, i'd say it just give this more depth ... i love your composition .... love that water and the refection ... excellent ..

I like the angle of the shot - looking down the bow of the boat works really well. Your decision to underexpose makes a lot of sense - you have a lot of white in this photo and you can dodge/ burn or selectively brighten areas of this a little to pop it more.
