Not sure if there is a story there with the title and the type of paper that's burning, but it sounds expensive. The composition is good, no bad reflections on the chrome/metal disk (which is good), although I think the edge may be cropped a little too close. The lighting is good, especially on the smoke, which I understand to be a difficult thing to photograph correctly. It's a good shot. |

Interesting response to challenge but the light on the back of the plate is very distracting. Nice smoke |

Very nice capture of the smoke. I love the lighting, One small "but", the tilt of the salver is a bit distracting. 8 |

Personally, I would have prefered the smoke to be sharper and perhaps a bit more rim lighting on the tray. |

Nice treatment of the challenge. But I really dislike the smell of burning paper. |

I guess this is some form of incense, yes? But papier d'armenie means nothing to me, and the smoke is too blurred. Use more light or a higher ISO value to get a shorter shutter time. Nice lighting though. (4) |

My junior high French is very poor...but I did look up to see what this was...Paper d?Arménie is oldest cleansing natural and deodorizer to l?air ambient. It purifies and scents to l?air houses, it removes the bad smells: tobacco, cracklings? You will like its delicate odor and its great capacity to purify to l?air will satisfy you.
Now I know. Very interesting. Not sure if we have something like this in the USA. Hum, see I learned something, and to top it all off I enjoyed your photo. Very nice, good luck in the challenge. |
