ok OK it's a flower....but dig the colors! Anyway this is the best smelling flower I have ever photographed....If I could afford them, I would have them around all the time. Their fragrance is intoxicating.....so if you gave this shot a 1 you either have never smelled the flower or you have no olfactory system. Pity you for either. Tah!

This is perfect.... The texture of the petals and buds makes me feel the strong scent of the flower. The lighting is perfect. Have you painted it with light? Love the composition and the use of the diagonal. I am giving it a 10 but 10 sounds a poor mark for it. Deserves more.

The lighting is a little dark in places but otherwise good. The color of the flower is wonderfully vibrant and stands out against the black background fairly well. Seems a little soft but not in a bad way. The diagonal position is good, but it seems a little too close to the bottom edge.

cropped too tight on the bottom, the light spot on the background on the right just below the green bud is a distraction

Very pretty, but kind of disembodied. It seems that the flower has become cut off from the leaves.

Great composition and lighting. I really like it how it stands out with powerful color from the black background. The focus point seems a bit off (towards the upper right, instead of the blossom petals)m but the soft effect does not really hurt this scene.

Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful! Clarity and color of the flower are perfect. I like the light reflection in the greenery with the black background. Striking photo. My vote: 10

A flash at night? It looks good to me although it would would look better if the two buds beside the open flower were more visable. At least the light wasn't harsh.

So pretty, nice lighting. A bit grainy though. Great composition

I love the colours, but if I were you I would have used a lower ISO value (there is a lot of noise in the reds) and a larger aperture (to get the whole thing in focus). (6)

I currently have a few white freesia close to my desk at the moment, so I can clearly smell it :)
