This is my nephew Logan. We have good times. Once, I babysat him when he was younger for a couple of days, and we really had a good time. I always look forward to seeing him again.

He's a good-looking, happy boy, so I can see why you'd be grateful.

It's a nice, mellow shot too but I would have cropped to the edge of his face on the right too and fully filled the frame, as there is no need for any space at all when you're this close up.

bad points Not enough contrast on the face, composed too much to the left.
Good points nice to see someone actualy taking an image with eye contact! Super detail in the hair - great texture.
Overall Score 4

A good sharp capture with good tones, but I think you might have done better with some fill light in the front, which would have added some catchlights in his eyes, and brightened the lower part of his face a bit. Also, I think the extra space should have been on the left not the right, just given the way he is slightly turned.

what a charming face! You've done well to put him in a white shirt, and on a neutral background, without having it look posed, actually it looks quite spontanious. His hair is beautifully crisp and shiny. I wish the lighting on his face gave more shading it is a bit flat. But overall it is a good portrait and would make a lovely holiday card!
