I love this picture... Reminds me of a scene in the book, "mutant message down under"... where the north american woman went to live in the outback with the Aborigines in the Aussie Outback. The Aborigines had the american lay on the earth and let the flies devour all her dead skin cells and essentially do their job.. which was cleaning. Prior to letting the flies clean her, she had noticed the body odour that she had but the aborignies didnt.. after the flies had done their work.. she too didnt smell as bad as she had prior. .. Anyway.. I'm not doing the scene in the book justice..but I think we are all things together on this earth and we all have roles..

This little person doesnt seem upset by the presence of the flies.. nor am I.. (love the detail in the photo and that you left it in colour.. outstanding) :)

Its a beautiful image of the circle of life and connectedness of us all.. small or large we all have our role :)

I feel like I want to clone the flies out, but one can't, as it is the flies that complete the image. I don't like them, but I feel there presence is what make this image so much more emotive.
I absolutely love the skin tones and textures of the sweetest young boy, I have seen in a long tiem. I just want to pick him up, and bring him home with me.

this is very sad.. he looks totally habituated to their presence. they are an unavoidable part of his life i guess and he just learned to live with them.
