 I messed up big time at the still-contest. Photographed a classic Cornucopia and tried to postprocess it to look like an old painting. Went way over the top in postprocessing however, thus spoiling the overall image. Picture scored 4.5-ish, my worst score ever, and comments praised the composition, but spoke sadly of lighting, white balance and hue.

This calls for Revenge! So I decided to do a remake and use a backlight to fit it in the Contre-jour contest. Maybe not the best contre-jour picture that I can make, but who gives a banana? Slightly different fruits, slightly different ordering, different background and the added backlight, but otherwise the same picture.

Got my revenge, though it didn't do too well. Citymars got the joke, I like to make people laugh.

To those thinking this is not a contre-jour: It is, and anyone can see it. It makes you think how thorough some DPC=-members review pictures. ;)

Mark_u_U, this cracked me up when I saw it and saw your title (I was one of those who left a negative comment on your other cornucopia photo). This is a much better photo. Happy to see it and thanks for the laugh!

It's a nice arrangement, but the light does not obscure the details of the cornucopia.

IMO a white background is not the same as counter-light. DNMC
