Nice, i enjoy the darkening of the sky to the right, the two flecks of rock on the sand detract from the picture, but otherwise nice.

Interesting colors. The vase is a little underexposed. Darkening more would create a silhouette which would be nice. A little lighter and it would show more detail. I would move the horizon line up so that it is above the flowers and vase. The way it is now it "cuts" the vase.

The pronounced shadow is a nice touch.

The composition works well.

A shallower depth of field would help make the background more effective.

The challenge:
Not really contr-jour. The shadow is falling to the right which means that the main source of light (the sun) is to the left. (Out of the frame). Now if the shadow was to fall towards you...
