Just a light post backlit by the sun. Thought it would fit the challenge well when I saw it. The title means, "against streetlight" or "against public lighting". Hoping I get a chuckle out of at least one person.

hmmm, you have me wondering. There are some lamps just like this, near my house, and I even considered doing something like this. So I wonder if this is the same place.

You captured it perfectly.

Ah, yes. The sun lighting the lamp. :) I have one of these floating around somewhere. I'll have to find it for afterwards. He-he.

This works well for the challenge. You have nice cloud details (especially in the bottom). Seeing some haloing around the lamp post that I don't think is from backlighting (i.e. - sharpening?). While looking at this with my lousy work monitor I'm seeing some compression artifacting in the sky area.

Just some observations. :) Good luck in the challenge.

can't tell you a specific detail... but it's not esthetic in my eyes, 5

Strong shape, looks like exposure could have been decreased slightly to hold a little bit of detail in the globe.
