OK. Let me first of all say that this is not a child (its me) nor was intended to look like a child. The idea of the photo was that, I am in a place where I played as a child reminiscing about my childhood. I guess I didn’t make this clear in the shot and that’s why it suffered. : ( |

Ok...I know that the challenge says "no children" so I would assume that you would use a small adult for this photo. I am giving you that benefit of the doubt because it really is hard to tell. I like the black and white here, and the angle and focus are great. Lighting worked very well for this photo. good luck in the challenge. |

I can't tell if this is a child or not, but to me it violates the spirit if not the letter of the challenge. |

This gives me such a feeling of loneliness...... and of course that could well be a part of childhood (I know it was for me). I love photos that bring such an overwhelming sense of emotion, even if it is an uncomfortable emotion. Good work. 8 BAMartin |

Poor contrast for subject and background. (I didn't think we were supposed to include a person subject child, hense the challenge name?) 5 Swash |

Great shot... Great composition... And I'll give you the benefit of the doubt that the person there is not a child... I imagine your score is hurting because he LOOKS like a child...Great capture in any event... |

My thoughts were that this photo represents an adult playing a kid, but it's been pointed out that it could equally be an adult reminiscing about their childhood. Good point! Didn't think of it! For the photo itself, I like it. I like the play of light on the ground, the low perspective and the inclusion of the empty swing beside the other one. Overall it's a little dark, but perhaps that's intentional, to capture the mood? 5, Kavey |

I can't help but notice there's a child in the "Child without Children" challenge...?? Nice picture, but it clearly violates the challenge. |

Am i mistaken or is a kid sitting on that swing ? Like the B&W touch but i am not sure if this is a legal picture for this challenge since it states showing childhood WITHOUT children. Anyway picture is nice! |

Wow, what a big kid *wink* I like the angle you chose. Being able to see the wood chips is cool. Not crazy about the crop. I think you should have tried gettin the whole swing set in the shot. Swinging just isn't as much fun when you grow up, is it? The swing competition is tough in this particular challenge. Good Luck! ~indigo997 |

This is a very nice picture, but it does have a child in it. Man, I don't know how to vote. I like the picture, so I'm going to steer right down the middle. |

This is a really neat picture. B&W makes it even better but its supposed to be without children so i subtracted a few points for that. 4. |

This is an EXCELLENT photograph. I love the black and white and the contrast is excellent... This photo fails to meet the challenge, IMHO, because it has a child in the photo. - jmsetzler |
