 This is a composite of 2 photos

The mountains shown here were taken today.
The clouds were taken Saturday.

My editing steps:
Open Mountain Pic
Copy
Flip Horizontal
Erase half of picture until it matched up in the middle
Open Clouds Pic
apply shadow/highlight
Copy
Paste to mountain pic
Erase everything but the sky and reduce opacity
erase a bit around the clouds so they would blend better
flatten
soft light layer and painted in some colours for the clouds
flatten
apply shadow/highlight
soft light layer again and painted in some colours for the mountains
flatten
dup background and burn around tops of mountains in distance reduce opacity and flatten
used virtual photographer to soften overall look added layer mask and applied a gradient so it would only do the clouds
flatten
resize to 1024 and Neat Image
resize to 800 and sharpen
resize to 740
add border top and bottom
save for web :)

I sure hope this stands out amongst the crowd :)
I will provide EXIF for both photos, clouds here and mountains in info.

Very nice how those wispy clouds seem to just nestle into that valley. With that and the warm glow of light this photo just emanates "cozy." Well done!

Beautiful capture of the sky. The colour in the mountains is excellent, and contrasts well against the pink sky. At first I didn't like the blurriness of the edge of the horizon, but it has a certain artistic look to it.

what beutiful sky. however the foreground,landscape, is overprocessed. lost is the detail found in the sky.

at first I thought that this seemed to plain, but I kept staring down the valley! It's very peaceful

Excellent symmetry on the land. Nice cloud formations. Not much definition in forest.

the photo is great, but the border is distracting since it's uneven. Could have been a solid 8, but...7
