Took this while in the Gold Coast Queensland for our church's National Conference. Got up early and got some great shots. I chose this one for the sheer terror of those waves. This was an early morning swimmer bracing herself for the cold water swim.

EDIT: Levels, USM and Noise Reduction...just basic stuff

PREDICTION: Not sure...could be a high 5 or low 6

POST: Happy with this. The more I looked at it the more I personally liked this and hoped it did better. The waves are enormous.

It was actually a warm morning and the water temperature was really nice. But I used some colour adjustment to make it look freezing cold.

Thanks for the votes and comments.

Greetings from the Critique Club

You began with a very nice image, and enhanced it to a different level and you were well rewarded for your efforts. Congratulations on your very nice placement.

With a score of 6.61 and placement of 23rd out of 374, I'm not sure what I can tell you to 'improve' this image, so I'm not even going to try.

But you have an excellent track record at DPC, and if you are not already a member of the Critique Club, well, it is people of your expertise who would really help this feature of DPC.

Come on in! The Water's Fine.

Seems off a little from the third intersections. Really cool shot, though.

Beautiful, rich colors and tones. The sea seems so imposing and overwhelming in relationship to the lady. Nicely done!

looks cold...looks like she is about to get wiped out, too. Good timing.
I would have liked to see more white in the white caps, too.

gorgeous. i think you may have tinted this photo with too much blue, but other than that, great capture.

Cool colors. I like how the scale of the water seems so large compared to the person.
