Color my World

This is Cassie the daughter of our next door neighbor, has been coming over for me to practice people photography. When the challenge came up for triptych thought we could come up with an idea, hope you like it.

This is actually 3 separate images taken in continuous mode, each processed separately using different hair colors. The make up is only on the skin no other enhancements were used. (i.e.: Lipstick or eye shadow). Original. img6020 – 6021 – 6022.

ATTEMPTING TO BE CREATIVE, RECEIVED THE DQ.

It has been explained to me that using a 3 dimensional finish, on a 2 dimensional plane to the site council this has distorted 3 identical images, to me they are just seen from different angles.

In the challenge I submitted quite a number of images that I believed were 4 dimension, I notice they all finished with a result.

Minor tone adjustment, sharpen, crop in Raw.

I expected this to do really well. Shame you were penalised for 'thinking outside the square', so to speak. Bugger!

The cube concept is cute, but you aren't doing your model any favors by using on-camera flash, distorting her face, and messing with the hair color. The concept could have worked, but not with this original photo.

Interesting take on the challenge. It's a little disconcerting to see gray hair on such a young face!

To be honest I don't really like this effect. It really distorts your subject and your "mind's eye" looks at the cube rather than the faces of the cube. Nice try going out of the box however with the use of um...a box.

not sure you are allowed to stretch images according to the rules, so you should get this validated...not sure I like the grey hair...
