 Hopefully this gives the illusion of being blown by the wind, but it is actually a studio shot.

This gives the illusion of flight very well. The grain works here IMO, and the composition is gorgeous!

This is cute, but I think there is a distraction with the shallow dof. I personally would have liked to see the whole bit in focus, and the background blurred.

I like the placement as well. I also think a blurred background would give it a better DOF to simulate actually flight outside. Nice photo.

Love the minimalist nature of the picture and the focus on the dandelion seed is perfect. The background does detract a little and I would love to see this with a blurred background

Nice minimalist composition. Grainy, dirty feel is interesting and well done although gives a rather cold and downbeat feel to what is a more upbeat concept. Apt Title for day 1 though :)

It doees give the illusion - almost perfectly. There's the little bit of blur in the "fluff" that even suggests motion blur. Very impressive - one of my favorites so far!

i love your title, how it relates so well to your first day in the b&w, and the image itself ... interesting photograph and i'm wondering if its lying on something or caught on the wind ... which'd make the title even better ... love the different contrasts and textures ..
