 Taken early this am, found it near a creek here near our home. Converted using PS3 adjustment layer B&W (it's very easy to use). Processed with Neat image, levels to set black, white and grey point, curves for contrast, selective color and then B&W layer. Cropped, resizedc and saved for web. Had flash on as well.

Simple, sheik, interesting. can't even tell you used a flash. I am not sure about the center thing.. but it is a very nice image. I enjoy the contrasts of textures.

I think I might have liked this if the if the snail shell was in the lower, left corner and spun a but to the left...maybe a natural flow to the wonderful texture the photo offers...JMHO

I kind of like all the negative space because it's so texturey. Fun contrasts, both in textures and colors.

I like the tonal range a lot in this - great use of pure white all the way to pure black. Compositionally, I'm not as drawn in as I might be - possibly too much negative space? I do, however, really like the mix of textures.

i love the natural contrast of the shell set off against the dark rock. I think maybe even a little dodging on the shell may have helped bring out the shell even more.
