Love the expressions here - would agree with another commenter that a black border (maybe even a bit thinner) would be better here to contrast better against the relatively light tones of all the image edges. |

What a funny expression!! I honestly can't tell what the first one is (maybe it's mid-expression) but it's great. They're all very nice pictures and they make a wonderful set. (Is that your brother? He looks like your profile pic) |

He bears a slight resemblence to Matt Damon. I don't care for Matt much, but I won't hold that against you. ;-)
This is REALLY well shot, well edited and excellently presented. Top notch!
Edit: Might try a single pixel black border around each image so the parts don't blend into the matte.

Three days and 3 fun expressions in this great triptych portrait study. Love the expressions of the man as he blows soap bubbles. That first one says "Oh, that did not go so well." The second is "Hah! Look at that one! That's my best bubble!". And the last expression is just him blowing the bubbles again and having fun doing so. He is having lots of fun and we cannot help but smile and laugh with him because his joy & enjoyment shows. The B&W tones are great and I love the border presentation of this portrait study. |

Awwww. . .this is great! It would have made a great triptych photo too. Matter of fact, it would look great matted just like that in a small black frame, don'tcha think??? :) Great job!

this was the first thing i thought when i looked at it, well after the fact that i realised that i liked it.
would olso work better because of the background being different than the other two and would balance it up a bit.
also very cool you were able to catch that one bubble whilst blowing another.

Great triptych. I think I agree with Artyste as to placement. I'm sure your brother would appreciate this as a gift sometime in the future. |

A fun triptych indeed. Your conversion is lovely, great tonal ranges. The border here, while I think great for a large-sized print in a frame, isn't helping you much for a DPC sized upload. I think if you knocked a good 25 pixels off the edges, or increased your photo sizes a little, it'd have more impact as a web-view.
On a further note.. have you tried putting the far right image in as the middle? I think this would provide a fascinating "expression" anchor. With the amusing "funny-face" on the left, the soft, neutral pose in the middle, and then bookended with the final, "I'm too happy to be alive" look :)

Ah, recognize this as an outtake from the bubbles challenge! (Your entry was one of my faves, BTW.) This is very well done. I think you definitely chose the right placement of each photo in the triptych. |

Bubble, triptych, black and white...These could have gone anywhere. Three different expressions which really work well together although the centre one is by far and away my favourite
