Nice angle, very dramatic and foreboding mood to it all.

Man I need to get back down the South Island, my last four holidays to New Zealand have been in the North Island due to family luckily I have a brother down south so I will be annoying him next
onto the photo... I picked it as being a South Island alps feed river from the look of the water (yes everyone this is the right look for the water there)
love the lines, the contrast and the use of the full tonal range

Fabulous sky, so moody and provides a great sense of depth. This is very well done compositionally, too.

how do you catch clouds like this? i need to get to NZ. I love the perspective of the bridge slowly disappearing into the mountains.

thankyou, the water in new zealand coming of the alps is actually a really light milky grey colour
so i didnt want to change how it looks, and i actually kind of like it light.

Bitchin'waycool composition. Nice tonal range as well. The bits of long grasses on the very right add immensely to this.

Love the tones and contrasts on the bridge, the mountain and sky. Cloud formation looks dark and threatening; heavy with chance of a thunderstorm. I also like the perspective and slight angle of the bridge in the composition. The lines lead off to a vanishing point in the horizon. This adds interest to the photo. Overall the tones are very good, but what I find a little odd is the tones and 'textures' of the rushing water. It is a little flat and a muddy light grey compared to the other darker or richer tones throughout the rest of the image. Not sure what to do in postprocessing aside to maybe play around with the burn/dodge tool. I don't see camera info as to what the aperture setting and shutter speed were. A faster shutter speed would capture the action of the rushing water with a more still life quality but you might sacrifice detail in the background. A higher setting of aperture like F8 and above would give you some rich details in both foreground and background but might make the river a blur (but maybe a good motion capture) with a slower shutter speed.

Nick, where do I start?

Ok the strength of the bridge is AWESOME - you've really done it justice.

The clouds rolling over the hill - romantic.

The water is a little weird as it's so light, but really the rest - YUM - of course!
