so many layers so compactly fit together, it would have been interesting without a subject.

You have a good eye to arrange this photo like you did. I love it. |

I love the perspective on this one. It projects the viewer into a seat on the bus such that we are sitting in the seat across from and one seat over from this girl. We take a glance to see who is across from us and what they are doing. Tones are good. I wonder if you could have used a higher f-stop and/or slower shutter speed and captured the subject, the interior of the bus AND some details of what is outside the bus. At times I don't like the blown out light coming through the windows and other times I think that it is perfectly suited for this photograph because it is what is on the inside that is our main subject and one does not want to busy the scene to distract away from that. One critique I do have though that I think would greatly improve the composition is to crop off the top 1/3 of the photo. That is just empty space that is doing nothing for the overall composition. |

I didn't get a chance to comment on this photo earlier, but it is a truly amazing photo. Everything here just feels right: the mood, the lighting, the composition, and the scene. A very special photo. |

Great shot, Exposure control is perfect, and the seats to the right just seem to frame her tight enough in 'her own little world'.
Love it. |

The composition is perfect. I like how she is squeezed imbetween the lines of the seat. Great story. |

Makes me feel like I'm sitting there, across the aisle. Conveys well ordinary life, going about its business. Good tones, I might have cropped much of the ceiling part of the bus out (right about where the ceiling curves off), to keep the eye from traveling too far toward the top of the image, away from the empty seat focal point. |
