| This is a good composition because it is simple, clean and minimalistic in presentation. Detail is very good with a lot of detail on the groves of the screw as well as the spotting 'texture' of the metal. Lighting is spot on. My only critique is that slight shadow off to the left of the head of the screw - another light or different lighting configuration would take care of that before clicking the shutter. Another way to get rid of it is through PP with use of the clone tool. |

| VERY well lit! I think that this is spot on with every technical aspect I can think of. I like the placement of the screw in this as well. Very nice b/w |

| great focus. almost too great, in fact. i think i would blur the texture of the paper that is in the plane of the screw. lighting and grunge are really cool. |

| Can't imagine this photo could get much better for what it is - I agree with Unclebro that it would make a fab stock image. My only nit is that the slight shadow is cut off a little on the left-hand side. Maybe include just a bit more negative space in that area. |
