More close up stuff. This time something that was black and white to start with.

RAW import, levels etc in Lightroom. Resize, USM save in editor.

Thanks for comments, you are entirely correct :)

Reprocessed, although perhaps a little harsh now?

Nice focsed, with a perfect balance to the DOF in the background.....

Nice shot with excellent dof

As previously mentioned it would have been great if you could have achieved slightly more contrast with a white background

Great idea, but I'd have liked to see the paper be less gray.

Once in a while I get it in my head to shoot something out of the stacks of sheet music here. I always find it hard to make it interesting without including other 'props' (violin, a glass - something). So, this is not the most exciting shot in the world but I can appreciate the difficulty. For what it is, it is nice and crisp. I'd agree, maybe a bit higher contrast would serve the shot better.

A great perspective, but given the subject, I would have loved to see a little more work here to get a better stark contrast. Whiter whites, especially. The photo is a little too dark and muddy to really stand out the notes like they ought to. This can either be done in post, or with the original shot through some better lighting. (In this case, you'd probably need a light-tent of some kind... but that's the subject of a whoooollee other project. hehe).

I'd suggest trying both curves and manually adjusting levels to get those whites to jump out some more.

Very nice perspective. It's like music to my eyes. :)
