 Taken about one hour before sunset.

Black and white conversion, channel mixer with red channel. Cloned out a few small dust flecks. Levels to bring the contrast up.

i think it is a beautiful thing to see the rays of the sun streaming past the clouds. the tree adds a nice element to the pic as well.

Wow, stunning capture and the depth of constrast in B&W is really great! I love the idea that we're able to capture what we want in these side challenges and feel that we've done what we wanted, rather than trying to conform to what we THINK the voters want! Kinda like getting a free pass, isn't it? LOVE this shot!

I am a cloud freak and this is just lovely.....
I don't even mind the high contrast, as it make the image glow.....
Breathtaking.....

This is beautiful! The high contrast lighting is so well done. Not easy to do on a shot like this without the light looking blown out. You did very good!

amazing contrasts between the sky and the trees ... those suns rays are just fantastic ... i do find the trees a bit 'dirty' and i'm not that keen on their design in the image .. even so it is a dramatic sky shot, that works very well in b&w ..

Gorgeous! I'd almost rather not see the trees or maybe have them better lit (but I guess that's not an option when the sun is going down, is it?)
