the picasso girl

the location of this picture is inspired by Kertesz's "La Curieuse Picasso girl".

I like this so much. My attention is grabbed by the hunched figure of the man. The sepia helps... and perhaps it's the composition too... It invites the viewer into the image to guess at what this person might be feeling or thinking. What is he doing? Lighting a cigarette? Writting a note? Taking a bite out of a sandwich? Loading a gun? ;) SO interesting. Well done.

you know, i love that the tree balances with the strip of building on the far right. it is too bad that the car is there, but it is like the picasso girl has wrapped her arms around it and is keeping watch over the man and the car.

This is one of my favs of yours so far - I like the very whiteness of the car and the very dark of his suit. So out of place and yet not.

You have a wonderful eye for caputuring the moment.
Love the way the statue is looking at the person.

Very cool, I like the tree to the left, I might have cropped a bit more to make that the edge of the photo.

I'm really caught by the symbolism of this shot. Really nice!
Don't you wish you could have asked the driver of that car to have moved it? *smile*

Because of this photo I just tried to add you to my favourite photographers - for the SECOND TIME - SMILE!

I LOVE what you've done here. Where do I start? I LOVE the tones - the person on his own though - PRICELESS. & I'm a sucker for Picasso.

Neat moment capturing him sitting on the wall reflecting or reading and in from of the Picasso really refects your great vision - you have a natural talent for that, for example..

Here the tree and the wall he's sitting on tend to cause very strong breaks making the L side of the picture and the foreground just empty dead space. The car also distracts from the mood as well. I think you may be able to either frame this better in camera or cropping to take care of some of those things. Overall I like the processing too. Nice job, Jack

This is another great urban delight. Just like I love. It remind me of one of those elegant commercials where the flawless looking man waits for the oh-so-beautiful girl to go on their date in their oh-so-expensive car. I love it :)

different, interesting, arty ... love the posture of that person sitting on the wall .. the grain works very well for this image .. i personally dont like the tree there, but other ppl may really like it for the contrasts it makes with the 'statue' and building ... i do like the small branches top lhs silhouetted against the windows, which 'fit in' with the lines on the statue ...:)
