I would never enter this one in a challenge because I know it's not a DPC image. But I enjoyed playing around with it and I quite like the result.

it's too bad that you would let thoughts of how voters "prefer" things keep you from entering this in a challenge. the only thing i would do different is change the title. let people guess who this really is. i thought this was some man taking notes outside of a house or in some kind of garage. i like the mystery of it.

Welcome to the Hotel California! *smile* Reminds me of the Eagles' song.....you can check in, but you can never leave. Makes me wonder what order he's taking! *grin* Nice shot that leaves annonymity. Did I spell that right? *sigh*

When I waited tables, I learned really quick how unimportant I am to the world, until the food is late, lol! This really adds to that point, imo. I think it's a great statement. Nicely done!

I particularly like the no face and just a hint of light on his mouth. I like the perspective as he sort of looms over you, although his position isn't threatening.

I thought it was someone famous giving you their autograph!!!!

I'm still laughing to myself about that!

The dark somber feeling in this one works for me, with the balaance of the play of light, coming from the left, to highlight the figure just enough.

Very interesting photo, with the contre jour, the darkened face and the whole composition. Your post processing is awesome. You have a real knack for taking photos with a distinct edge. I'll be interested to see more of your work.

Rather menacing... an interesting take on an otherwise ordinary situation. Nicely done.

With his face hidden in the shadows, he is quite anonomous. Striking photo, but you are right that it would not do well in a challenge. Some of my favorite photos are the ones I shoot just for me without concern of what DPCers might think. I like this alot
