HA!.Ha…Ha..Ha A Cat......IN......A Hat

Taken at the neighbors, as we do not have a cat, All the normal shots were very passive, so tried to add a little humor, the hat had slipped forward while shooting.

Sorry about the DQ, your neighbor has a very patient cat! Nice touch with adding the children as spectators.

Too bad about the DQ but I love the processing you did! Poor kitty. This is funny!

I think it's much more effective with the shadow lighting effect. I can see why you did that. I bet it was the photo of the children that first prompted someone to report this. One comment said it was clip art. Ironic that you got disqualified for something else. Too bad, I think this is a really fun shot and a good entry.

First, I love kteach's poem for this one! Excellent! Second, I don't know why you dodged the white into the background - the black from your original would have worked quite well, I think. Just not sure what your goals were with the processing. Of course, the hairy arm from the original had to go... :-) Really a very fun and creative shot - I especially like the cut-out kids and the hat falling onto the cat's face. Very well done!

I like the pic, but I don't think clip art is allowed.

The cat in the hat, looks very displeased,
Even moreso than if he'd had fleas!
"Get this thing off!", the poor kitty declared,
While the two little children just sat there and stared.

You know, this cat looks familiar to me, though I'm not quite sure where I've seen it before. This is funny and very well done. I love it! 10.

lighting seems pretty flat and the harsh shadows are distracting ...

oh the cat, the cat, they don't like that, in a hat!
nice image - the placement of the figures in the right helps image otherwise it might be a little flat in color
