From same shoot of pic from day 4. Slightly different processing though, with copy of green channel and then some curves adjustments.

Well-handled DOF and nice pose - you really get a sense of his character.

The background is stunning (odd comment to start with, I suppose) and it totally supports the subject. Fantastic detail, very, very compelling. I love this.

I agree with the others. This shot is more interesting...more alive. The hand with the cigarette adds to the composition. Tones, focus and bokeh are all wonderful!

Hey DOC! I am sure you told him to put out that cigarette after you got the shot!? :)

Great capture by the way, the boke really sets it off, makes the character and texture of his face stand out...maybe just a "TAD" dark?

i like this pose better. he is doing a better job of engaging the viewer. the dark tones around him better help the focus of light look more centralized.

Much preferred over the first one. Just the change in pose makes for a much more interesting shot. The texture on this guy's face (as well as the overall lighting) make this a perfect candidate for some careful dodging and burning. Quite nice.

Wow, cool shot! Love that bokeh, and the light in the hair and on the fringe. Actually, the light is what makes this image, it comes from the left, slightly to the back, it really outlines the man beautifully. Great work.

i think i like this version more. the cigarette in his hand is giving this portrait kind of a different character. and i love the bokeh.

I lurve the bokeh. I wish the lighting on the face were a smidge better. You know what you could do? In photoshop, do a duplicate layer and then use the "screen" mode. You'd be amazed. You can adjust the opacity but it might shed some light on that face. I love the fringe and the cigarette.

This is a perfect model for portraits, as he has so much character.....
Perfect DOF in the background to complete this image..... well done.

As I think I said last time - AWESOME face for a portrait - well done.

I like this, he looks so cheeky in this shot.
