 I took many pictures in Old Town San Diego on Cinco de Mayo. This appealed to me the best without being too busy, as the pictures showing the festival signs were. I'm still using my camcorder stills until I get a better camera. Cropped, resized brightened, sharpened.

lol still using your camcorder... I'm sure you will see a world of difference once you get your new camera.

I think that this is more of a memory shot than a submission picture. There are spectators at the bottom of the image that take away from the actual potential that this image has. There are people in the background that makes the view look there. IMO there are to many distracting objects in this image.

Looks like you had a good time though.

unfortunately your lighting of the prime subjects on stage did not work well in this shot, I've found that an electronic fill flash (a really really long one!) helps me get these kinds of difficult shots, it is however well focused

yet another holiday snapshot of the same festival. Did anyone on this challenge go to anything except cinco de mayo?
Seems a bit blurred, the crowd is distracting.

The band seems a bit shadowed. If you could do a reshoot, I suggest perhaps cropping up a bit to remove the crowd of heads, and exposing for the shadows.
