Camera: Fujifilm FinePix E510 Zoom
Location: Spook Rock Golf Course, Suffern, New York, USA
Date: May 4, 2007
Galleries: Sports, Action
Date Uploaded: May 6, 2007

This is my first attempt at an action shot. I am not at all pleased with any of my shots. This was the best I could come up with. I do not know if it me, or my point and shoot camera.

Despite being a nice photograph, this entry does not fall within the parameters of this weeks challenge. That being said, I must judge this photograph accordingly. :-(

Photo is overexposed and out of focus

love the perspective and the angle - but the image is way over saturated and nothing seems especially sharp in focus 3

This would have been sooo cool if the ball was either in focus, or much more blurred. I think so anyway. The focus in general isn't very good, sorry.

The ball is blurry, maybe caused by ball motion. I think it would be better if the fall was stationary. The flag looks a bit blurry and crooked also.

Nice idea! I dislike the slight movement in the ball: would've preferred more exaggerated movement or none. Also, some highlights are blown out, leaving a bit of an aura around the ball.

Plus: Interesting composition
Minus: Improper focus and exposure

Just didn't like it. The golf ball AND the stick are both blurred and burned out. Most of the scene is out of focus. For motion only the golf ball should be blurred and on one side only (left side). Also, the green highlights are blown. In PS I wouldv'e used auto color and auto level and gone from there. I'd retake this shot using a tripod and slower shutter speeds with just about any aperture.

If you spent more time on the photo and less time on the title it likely would have been more interesting... not good enough for the brownie.

I don't mind unsharp and overblown highlights if it adds to the picture, here I can't really see it

coloring (or something) maybe seems a little artificial. just my personal opinion

Interesting idea, but I the blur on the ball is distracting.

Poor DOF, whites blown out IMHO
