 Hue/Sat layer
Contrast layer, w/ eraser brush to help control noise on concrete.
Levels layer, set to Inner Shadow on blending mode at around 85% opacity.
Minimal Burn/Dodge (burn in this case) on partially blown out white areas from contrast layer.

your picture has this entire abandoned area look to it. from the sign to the gritty, grimey wall. Nice!

Great textures shot, both in terms of the sign itself and also of the three elements of the 'wall', the wood, rough plaster and brick..each of which you have brought out well with an overall impression that is complimentary yet still distinctive

This particular sign was a gem just waiting for your fine eye to hit it. I have a softness for signs, so I really like it when someone captures them so beautifully. Mainly cuz, I just don't seem to do the ones I find much justice. This one works beautifully in BW. The skill with th camera and the pp worked really well. excellent!!!!!!
