Love the bug on a grid thing! Posthumous and I have been playing with that theme too. Hey maybe this is a candidate for selective saturation of the hopper. I like your crop. Nice sharpness!

What Jon said about the composition, what Sandy said about the effect of the lines, and what Roz said about the crop (the existing crop giving us a feeling that he's right above us). I think it's spot on!

Well for me the crop you chose is just right, it puts the insect on a line of third and the pov with the bars really draws you towards the main subject. Stunning clarity on the grasshopper

Another top job

I was just going to say what Sherpet said, "Wow! What a GREAT macro". I love how his face is so big, you can clearly see that he's "looking at us". And the lines are very abstractly (I think that's a word) interesting :)

This is awesome!

totally excellent b&w ... wonderful close-up ... love your composition and crop .. great detail ... i might'v been inclined to crop off a bit on the bottom ... :):) .. altho after looking again, the crop you've chosen makes me feel he's climbing or above you, more so than if you cropped it off on the bottom, like i just said .. so therefore i reckon its fine the way it is!!!!:):):)!!

The guardian watches hungrily over his captive...lol. Great shot Michelle!! Love the perspective. Super crisp, with some nice bokeh. Fantastic!
