Congrats on pulling the sky out of almost nothing ... in my opinion it absolutely makes the shot! It took it from a nice steady well composed shot to a stunning photo.

Wow having looked at this and looked at the original I cannot work out how you got the B&W sky..Any tips?

Oh man! You did GOOD. The processing on this turns this from ordinary to POW! I love that dramatic sky and the darker tones of the black and white.

WOW - I REALLY like the conversion so much more than the original. Black and white really gives us the opportunity to appreciate tones and shapes. Well done.

thanks alot for the comment. I see what you mean about the ship. As for the powerines, I hate all power lines and remove them most chances i get. ?Just my quirk in that i think powerlines make the world a lot less pretty in general:)they are always in the way of what i want to shoot!

I love the way you brought out the ominousness of the clouds. But the pic is slightly off horizontal.

I think the powerlines added to your picture
the picture looks alittle too dark and your dodging could use some work
like around the posts and the ship
I assume thats what you did too darken the sky
just my opinion
I think you were on the right track I like the composition of the picture
