I think this will be one of the more unusual shots we see in here. It's a lovely picture of companionship. |

Oh, how sweet! She's HUGE =:-O The only pig I've "met" was a baby potbellied pig and she was a hoot; housebroken, trotted around after me grunting for treats, squealed in delight when she saw a friend ... if I lived in a rural area that allowed pigs I'd have brought her home in a heartbeat. |

This is just one of those photos that is so unique that you cannot compare it to anything. Thats a small girl. Thats a huge pig. This is candid and well done and really is a slice of life that is truly uniquely portrayed. |

Chrissie is my pig. And she is SOME PIG as EB White would say.
Thanks for the votes but I feel like I fooled the system.
This IS a great pig, a great big pig. But this is NOT a great photo. I like my pig. I think the way she looks at the camera, I like the off-the shoulder dress on the five year old. I like the contrast in size. I like the mood becasue I am giving the pig away and it was a sentimantal moment that came through. And clearly the subject is interesting to an audience!
I do NOT like any of the photographic elements, color is washed out, focus is off. I do not much like to composition, and I HATE the grass in the front. I wish I'd had time for another shot, but YOU try to get a 400 lb pig to pose. I would have given me a 4. |

This is a wonderful shot, but I think if you'd taken a few steps to the left and shot it you could have avoided those tall blades of grass, which are distracting to your subject. |

What a sweet moment. It's beautifully framed and the colors are great. The only irksome thing at all is that grass blocking the boar's face. I hope you will be able to clone it out in photoshop after the challenge because the shot is a wonderful keeper. I hereby volunteer my hubby's help (photoghop guru) if you need/want it. In my top 10 pics for the week. 8, just-married |

At first, I thought that I would like this better if it was cropped tighter, but after trying it, I realized that I like the expanse of the field - it seems to give more "weight" to the subjects. I really like this shot, and think it fits the challenge well. lhall-8 |
