 I shot this during an afternoon at the rifle range with a few friends. One of my shooting partners pulled out the M1 Garand (US WWII service rifle) he had recently restored, and we all oooh'd and aaah'd over it and basically drooled over it as if it had breasts. I grabed a couple of the enbloc clips that are used to feed the rifle and put them in the sand and took the pics. Nothing terribly special or conceptual about it. I just think it looks good.

For a very simple object, re subject matter, you have mastered in producing an excellent shot. It just works for me.....
I really like the composition, and the DOF is very pleasing to the eye, and completes this image, especially the color tones used.
Excelllent image here, and definately worth being available as a print.....
My only suggestion to improve this image, would be maybe a tighter crop,,,,,

Never thought I'd see one of these clips again. Used this weapon from '57 to '65.
