 I hope this does well, i happen to really like this image. Not alot to say, what you see is what you get :P cropped, desated background using channel mixer, did 100% blue channel with red channel set over it to 50% opacity, then i red channel for the flowers, and blue for everything else. Adjusted Contrast, Used Burn to make the background darker. Bumped the Hue&Sat of the bee to bring out the colors, slight burn on the black stripes on the bee. Resided, did USM twice, saved for web.

I like the focus on the bee, and also love the DOF in the background.....

Bummer, guess i didn't pick the best subject for this challenge, colors are too soft, oh well i still like it lol :P Gratz to the winners

Excellent shot but doesn't emphasis the "selective" part of the desaturation thingie as well as it could have. (6)
