This is the most work I have done in PP, There was a ghost of a blade of grass, It looked like a milky line on the bottom of the rabbit. I used the healing brush, I burned, and yes even a little clone. Other enhancements include, Saturation, contrast, and lighting. Oh, and by the way I used sponge tool for desat.

Great close up of the rabbit. It didn't scream selective de-sat so the voters probably didn't get the subtlety. Wonderful detail on him though. ;~D

Cute rabbit. Really a prime specimen. I think the voters wanted more contrast in the B&W section, that would be my guess. The subject itself is astounding.

Oh, this is adorable! What a cute pose :)

And I was about leave pp tips as well, but levyj got there before me. To throw in my 2 cents anyway - there are a bunch of different ways of desaturating a picture, but I found using the channel mixer to do it gives you the most control over the resulting image. And doing it in a new layer, then using a layer mask to bring back bits of colour from the background is quite quick, and you can reverse the process easily if you mess up bits (and messing up occasionally is inevitable).

But anyway, I think you did a really good job on this, that's a lovely picture :)

First, this is a well-done photo to use as a starting point. And great job on the desat, Alan! Fur is really hard to mask out well. I think brightening this up quite a bit would help a lot. If you use Photoshop, try a new layer set to "soft light" blending mode. Paint in white over the bunny with a large, soft brush, and then reduce opacity of that layer until it looks right.

Way below what I scored it. I love the title and I love the soft, gentle look you captured from the bunny. Excellent, subtle desat very well done.

What an adorable pose! Looks like a really healthy bunny, too. Doesn't look like much of it was actually green to begin with, but it's cute.
