 This is my own eye, which does happen to be blue, but not anywhere near THIS blue! :) I fiddled around with selective color, saturation and the contrast a lot to get it like this.

Thanks for the advice on my pic!! I have never seen an eye look like this before. The color is just amazing, and the detail in the eye, WOW!!

I love this picture, you've really got a good *eye* for composition from the photos in your profile. Keep up the good work! Working with eyes isn't easy to maintain highlights and such...really great picture.

Thank you femalevsnature! It was pretty simple for the most part. I made two layers - one in color and one in black and white, with the black and white layer on top. I put the brush on "clear" and erased away eye from the black and white layer to revealt he colored iris underneath. The rest was some adjustments with the selective colors (specifically the cyan, blue, and the neutral levels,) and some contrast adjustments. For some added glow, I set the dodge to highlights and touch-up just the bottom of the iris.

I would LOVE to know how you did this...I know how to manipulate eyes...s/c...etc...but how you get them to glow like this is amazing!!

This was one of my favs from the challenge - I'm glad it finished well, but it should have hit the top 5, IMHO...
