no keys, glasses, mobile phone (cell phone), or sheep suffered in the making of this image ...
i was at my boyfriends this arvo & his stuff was on the table .. i thought the grouping looked interesting and decided to photograph it ..
after converting to b&w i duplicated the layer and flipped it vertically, increased the canvas size at least 50% on the height, and moved one of the duplicated layers so that it 'reflected' the original one, then i rotate the image 90cw .. i happened to see a creature, after doing all that, which may not have been that obvious to others, so i added the eyes, once again from the same sheep that was used in my colour portrait challenge called 'obviously this is my better side' ...
used a new plug called lucisart which gives that weird texture ..
this is a more standard process, sort'v .

Roz...You sooooooo weird!!!! (but in a very good way) love this picture as another example of aliens beaming through on out TV's and warning us that invasion is near. Duplication and flipping turns what would have been an ordinary shot into a very intriguing one

pretty cool, but what does it mean when you say you were at your boyfriends this "arvo"?

I love how you can turn the most ordinary things into something fantastical - looks like an insect. In my view with this one though, the lucisart texture is getting in the way - I don't know if you can dial the texture back a bit, make it seem less like it is competing with the subject. The softer, dreamier textures of your previous efforts seems to suit the fantastical nature of the images best.

Wow! Your imagination never ceases to amaze me. I think what makes this photo is the grain. It fits with it so well and adds something so special about it! Way to go once again!
