 I've been wanting to play with this shot for a while - a flock of Cedar Waxwings graced my front lawn early on a weekend morning while we were having a snowstorm. Shot through a window, with large flakes of snow, and I mistakenly had the ISO up to 1600, so I had some pretty nasty looking shots. Hopefully what I've done here rescued it somewhat.

Terrific snow shot. You must be far up north. Terrific composition and good use of the B&W treatment.

Karen- I have not had time to comment on all of your b/w photos but I just wanted to let you know how beautiful I think your images are. They were among the best in this 30 day challenge. I just love black and white photos- don't you? I really enjoy your work!

I don't mind at all.
you've captured the scene really well.
it makes me feel cold.
almost.
it's actually 83F degrees in Charleston today, so it doesn't make me feel that much colder.
But I can IMAGINE the cold!

Beautiful photograph. I bet this would also work with selective desat, just the bird in color.
